I put your question to BT and, in a statement, a spokesman said: "There is no breakdown [of how countries will be affected]. Of the 10,000 staff number, the jobs will be peppered around the world rather than concentrated in a few areas, the majority in the UK."
"Direct staff reductions will be achieved through voluntary schemes and us not replacing people who retire or leave the business. 7,000 people do this each year so this is achievable."
